DAFA’s interior build-out of the 2-story, iconic David’s Cafe building on the corner of 11th Street and Collins Avenue, created several dining destinations within one large venue envisioned by Atlanta’s renowned chef, Gio DePalma. A precursor to South Florida’s ‘food hall’ trend, the unique, 2-story, geometrical space includes a pizza show, which is a central bar serving Neopolitan wood-fired pies, a gelato bar, and a sit-down restaurant (Gios) on the West Side, and VIP lofted dining area on the second floor.

The new finishes and environmental branding were the main methods used to differentiate the identities of the restaurant spaces and food bars. The looks are rustic, yet vibrant and designed to evoke the casual, maritime communities of Italy’s Amalfi Coast. The fun, graphic logos and wall imagery make Antico feel like an authentic neighborhood Neapolitan pizzeria on a lively Positano street.
